Taiwan 2010 – Accomodation

Trying to contact the various places to stay in Taiwan is quite a bitch.

Apparently, they aren’t too comfortable with coordinating stuff through emails. Based on our itinerary, we would need to book a place to stay at three different places.

Green Island Shiacarl
Jiu Fen Windsor Castle
Taipei City Inn Plus

So far, the City Inn was the easiest thru their e-commerce website. Payment of deposit was thru credit card at a decent exchange rate of 23.06.

Windsor also got back to me through email and they’ve got a singapore bank account. Deposit thru IB at a less favourable rate of 22.9.

Shiacarl, though run by young people, does not seem to respond to emails – might have to call them. Shucks.

Having said that, it is quite hectic to prepare both the trip and our ROM concurrently. A little bit here and little there feels disorganised.

their details on their web is not sufficient.

  2. Hi,

the branch code was also clearly stated on their website (http://windsor.idv.tw/Contact.asp)

in any case, they are a friendly bunch, u can always email them and expect replies.
